"Originally established in 1995, the Golden Elixir website has gone through several rebirths and has been hosted by several universities (Venice, Berlin, and Stanford). In its present form, the website contains introductions, essays, translations, and illustrations related to Taoism and Chinese alchemy. These materials are addressed to both academic and non-academic audiences. The website is also the home of Golden Elixir Press, an independent publisher of books on Taoism, Chinese alchemy, and closely related subjects. In the same way as the website, the press publishes books for both specialists and the general public. - fp."
