Self-description:
"This classified bibliography represents an effort to catalog and classify reference works on Chinese historical geography (which traditionally overlapped with geology). On the right hand side you see an overview over the employed (self-made) classification. Click on any link and a list of titles will appear given detailed information an each item. Note that the contents of some of the 13 "classes" employed here like MAPS and CARTOGRAPHY overlap."
Site contents:
Bi-lingual (in English, with several elements in Chinese) entries describing: * General Works; * Bibliographies; * Concordances; * Indices; * Catalogues; * Dictionaries; * Cartography; * Maps; * Atlases; * Toponymical Dictionaries; * Gazetteers; * Special Gazetteers; * Dictionaries of Scenic Sites; * Translations; * Biographical overviews.
Also, a list of selected links, including Database of Antique Maps of China (Hong Kong), Historical Geography Research Group (Ireland), Historical Geography Speciality Group (USA), China Historical GIS (USA), Map History / History of Cartography (Subject gateway) (UK), Asia-related cartography on the web (Subject gateway) (UK).
