All of the online resources reported here have been thoroughly checked at the time of their listing. However, it is possible that, with the with the passage of time, many of the originally reported materials might have been removed from the Internet, or changed their online address, or varied the scope and quality of their contents.

A site, originally established on 6 March 1993 by Prof. Lynn H. Nelson, Department of History, University of Kansas as 'H[istory]N[etwork]Source' based on HYTELNET protocol. It was converted to Web protocol 23 September 1993. Since 14 Jun 2002 the site forms a part of the Asian Studies WWW Virtual Library archipelago of scholarly resources (coombs.anu.edu.au/WWWVL-AsianStudies.html). Since 14th January 2005 the site, edited by Eef Vermeij, operates from IISH, Amsterdam - ed.
